01 Who we are
Maracrest is an energy-focused investment firm. We invest across upstream oil and gas, energy infrastructure and listed energy equities, on behalf of private investors, family offices and funds who want real exposure to the sector without taking on single-well risk they cannot see.
The partners have worked on both sides of the table: running reserve-based lending desks, structuring field-level finance, and managing discretionary energy equity books through four full commodity cycles. We bring that operator's view to every allocation.
02 How we think about energy
Energy is the one market where reserves, politics and cash flow all set the same price. We underwrite all three before a single position is opened. We would rather hold fewer things we understand deeply than a broad basket we cannot explain.
That means modelling a downside price deck before we commit, hedging the exposure that actually matters, and reporting performance in plain numbers every month, including what did not work.
